This session will discuss the association between the stress an employee feels during the day and the likelihood that they will seek new job opportunities within the next year. Stressors that are contributing to employee exits include low salaries and inadequate compensation; long hours; lack of growth, development and advancement; heavy workloads; and lack of paid time off. In addition to employee facing stressors, small- to medium-business owners have a high risk of occupational stress, burnout and depression commonly attributed to financial pressures, social isolation and long work hours.
Learn how business owners can talk about mental health in the workplace, provide mental health resources, prioritize well-being and build a strong sense of resilience for all. Gain clarity about how these strategies are critical for businesses to retain talent in a competitive job market and protect their bottom lines.
