A message from The RINO:

Tomorrow (Saturday, October 10), The Rino is asking for your help!

Music venues, independent theaters, and other small businesses are closing everyday due to the pandemic. A year from now, we want to be able to give these friends our business. If we don’t support them now, they won’t be there soon.THE RINO will be streaming a 12 hour long, old school telethon to raise funds to get back open and bring you the community that so many of you have been missing. Us too…  : (

We’ll be bringing you live music, live stand-up comedy, how-to videos, shout-outs and tunes from National Bands and Artists, speakers from promoters and agents in the music business and more. We’re so excited to bring this live-streaming sneak preview of The “NEW” Rino. With your help, we can take our blend of community-building and local, regional and national touring bands and comedians from our HQ here in downtown Northtown to the world!

We will be live-streaming all of our shows tomorrow, so if you don’t feel like making it out, you can watch at home or anywhere with your phone. We will be making options available on Patreon — coming soon — for a monthly fee that you can get exclusive access to all shows all the time. Along with your membership, we will ship you a special card, that will grant you special discounts on drinks when you come in for a pint or a cocktail.

Alongside all of this news, we will also have a special Silent Auction to help us raise additional funds. Many awesome items and services will be up for sale. Everything from packages from our Sponsors: Crane Brewing — a free happy hour rental of their taproom! —, plus Messenger Coffee and Boulevard Brewery, as well as Chiefs Jerseys, custom painting, illustration, and photography work from local KC artists, custom hair and makeup appointments and more! HUGE thanks goes out to Tays Burgers and Hawaiian Bros. for providing food for our crew tomorrow!

One last thing: During the telethon we will have some special updates about the future of the physical spaces that Colony and The Rino call home. We’ve been working hard for months on creating an even better space for our community that we know you will love. We can’t wait to tell you about it!

We fear for our city that there won’t be a great, safe place for local artists to showcase their talent in the near future. We have, and will continue, god-willing, to be that safe place for artists, comedians and our friends. This has been a trying year, but nothing has changed the hearts of us at The Rino.

Your consistent passion for us, local artists and supporting music is beyond amazing and we are so grateful for your support. We miss you all and hope to get this off the ground and be with you all very soon! Thank you for everything, we love you!
