On Saturday, October 12th, noon to 6 PM, North Kansas City hosts the Fifth Annual Pint Path. Dedicated beer fans, walkers, runners, bikers, shoppers, and explorers have had an entire year to prepare in and around North Kansas City. Get ready…set…go!
Pint Path is a fun outing to visit 24 NKC businesses along six paths. Participants will head to four stops on one of six possible paths to get discounts on beer, cocktails, food, and more.
The Venues
Stops include local shops like the quaint Little Store & Cafe, a mainstay in North Kansas City since 1938 for its all-American menu and setting. Grab a beer and a bite before heading onward.
Cinder Block Brewery, which just celebrated their sixth anniversary in September, is one of the city’s older breweries with a strong following. They will have $2 off pints and a special beer release for Pint Path NKC. The brewery also donated a growler and free growler fill for the Hashtag Contest. Use #pintpathnkc during the Pint Path event for a chance to win a gift package full of merchandise from local merchants.
Have you had a chance to explore Jefferson’s North Kansas City? The restaurant and bar is a newcomer to the neighborhood at the northeast corner of Armour and Swift. Pint Path patrons will find a fun atmosphere and food ranging from the fried pickle burger to a shrimp po’ boy. They offer 75-cent “world-famous” boneless wings on Saturdays. Guests with a Pint Path NKC Passport can purchase $4.50 23-oz drafts, $2.50 bottles, and $1 shots during the event. The deals and fun continues at two-dozen businesses throughout the city.
Stop by a Novelty Photo Op while exploring. The Novelty Photo Ops are six photo “stand ins,” where you put your head in a hole and you’re part of the scene. Locations include Restless Spirits (Ghosties), The Little Store & Cafe (Magical Horse & Unicorn), Big Rip Brewing (Spooky Scene with Pumpkinhead), Colony (The Cheerses, our mascots), Pat’s Pub (Beers), and Callsign Brewing (Red Baron). Keep an eye out for great murals and photo ops around town.
While spending the day in North Kansas City, check out artist Brew Lamb, who will be at The Brewkery, 12-2 PM, for a Meet the Artist event. Lamb painted the mural that’s on the north side of The Brewkery building. Grain to Glass hosts their Annual Cider Day. Customers can press apples in their parking lot. Check out live music at Old Shawnee Pizza at Repeal 18th and at The Rino, the spook easy space Apparition at Screenland Armour, and much more.
